Grande Salvatore
Salvatore Grande, architetto, illustratore, pittore, nasce a Taranto (Puglia, Italia) nel 1947. Trascorre la sua giovinezza in Argentina dove termina i suoi studi a Córdoba nel 1974.
Nel 1976 si trasferisce a Milano e lavora come architetto in Italia e in Medio Oriente. Si occupa di progetti di architettura e della loro ambientazione.
Nel 1983 inizia a dipingere all’acquerello. Architettura e pittura si incontrano nella complementarietà tra vedute e visione, tra rigore prospettico e accelerazione gestuale.
Negli anni successivi propone anche altre forme espressive come il collage, il diario di viaggio, piccole sculture di legno.
Frequenta l’atelier di Paul Rudolf Riniker, acquerellista svizzero, gli stages di Pedro Cano, artista spagnolo e di Mustapha Ben Lahmar, artista marocchino.
Edita dei libri su suoi percorsi artistici e sui quaderni di viaggio. Espone in Italia, Svizzera e Argentina.
Salvatore Grande, architect, illustrator, painter, was born in Taranto (Apulien, Italy) in 1947.
He spent his youth in Argentina and completed his studies in Córdoba.
In 1976 he moves to Milan and works as an architect both in Italy and in the Middle East.
His work deals mainly with planning and environmental architecture.
At the beginning of the eighties he starts painting. Architecture and painting meet in the complementarity between views and visions, between the severity of perspective and the quickness of the painting gesture of the brush-stroke. Later on he realizes other expressions of art: collages, travel sketch books and small wooden sculptures.
He has attended the artist studios and workshops of Paul Rudolf Riniker (Switzerland), Pedro Cano (Spain) and Mustapha Ben Lahmar (Maroc ).
He has published his artistic work and exhibited in Italy, Switzerland and Argentina.
