Kuo Alex

Un paese ricco di fiumi e montagne che offre numerosi scorci di paesaggi naturali. Un ambiente che ha influenzato l’artista permettendogli di dipingere creativamente, ma allo stesso tempo preservando quella che è la cultura taiwanese.
“Ho iniziato a dipingere (disegnare) dall’età di 18 anni senza un obbiettivo definito. Da due anni ho iniziato a sperimentare impiegando tratti rapidi di inchiostro cinese, per conferire un tratto veloce seppur distintivo ai miei soggetti”
Lo si può trovare costantemente in movimento, a girare il mondo e documentare le vite delle persone che gli passano davanti attraverso i suoi disegni. Quando non è impegnato all’estero, ama ritrarre la città in cui vive, riportandone su carta i cambiamenti, le architetture segrete, le tradizioni ormai estinte.

A country rich of rivers and mountains, offering a wide variety of natural landscapes. An environment that has influenced the artist allowing him to paint creatively, whereas at the same time preserving the Taiwanese culture.
“I started painting (drawing) at the age of 18 without a defined goal. In the last two years I started experimenting using quick strokes of Chinese ink, to give my subjects a fast, though distinctive, trait ”
He can be found constantly on the road, traveling the world and documenting, through his drawings, the lives of the people who pass by him. When he is not abroad, he loves to portray the city in which he lives, painting on paper the constant development, the secret architecture, the dyeing out traditions.
“I want to show the audience different aspects of different cities I visited, which is, in my opinion, the most precious and honorable tribute to repay the society that keeps preserving them”
